Work Featured In Melbourne’s Fringe Furniture

Over recent weeks, Mathew has been working on a collaboration with Melbourne-based furniture designer Elliot Gorham for Fringe Furniture – an exhibition taking place as part of Melbourne Fringe and showcasing innovations in furniture design. Together they have produced ‘Sabbatical Cabinet’, a wall cabinet which locks away a vice of your choice for a time of your choosing. Using handmade and pre-existing components, Mathew fabricated a 24 hour time lock to sit within the cabinet where a clear perspex cover enables the inner workings of the machine to be seen and enjoyed.

Fringe Furniture opens this Wednesday the 26th at the Abbotsford Convent, Melbourne. Find out more about the exhibition at the Fringe Furniture website HERE
